Dr Devind Bhullar is an interventional cardiologist with a focus on preventing heart disease and managing coronary artery disease over the long term. His approach is evidence-based and grounded in current Australian and international guidelines. He works with each patient to reduce their cardiovascular risk through the right combination of lifestyle change and proven medical therapy.
Dr Bhullar assesses and manages patients at every stage of coronary disease. This ranges from early risk identification in people with high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes or a family history of heart disease, through to complex coronary intervention. His procedural expertise includes coronary angiography, angioplasty and stenting.
He previously held the position of Director of the Cardiovascular Invasive Laboratories at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and was the inaugural Head of Intervention at Joondalup Health Campus.
Dr Bhullar graduated in medicine from the University of Tasmania and trained in medicine and cardiology in Canberra and Perth. He completed his interventional cardiology fellowship at the National Heart Centre, Singapore. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.
